A structure fire was reported in the 200 block of West Victoria St. on Saturday. Upon arrival heavy smoke is reported from an upstairs unit in the complex.
Around 7:36 PM Santa Barbara City fire trucks had arrived and went into investigative mode. They found clothing on fire, and doused it, and brought it out, onto the walkway of the second floor of the apartment complex walkway.
A black cat was rescued from the apartment and carefully handed over to a child that was pacing forward and up the stairs at the bottom of the stairway behind the complex.
A firefighter kindly attempts to bring the feline pet out of the smoke-filled apartment to safety, searching to efficiently and safely deliver the fiercely desperate and angry kitty to the nearest available place of immediate safety. The Gatito, appears to be heavily resisting in the video @Xtek_Overload on I.G.Means while, he, the firefighter, quickly figures out how to resolve this CATegorical, situation.
With a little bit of quick thinking and his protective equipment he’s finally able to slowly hand the frantically biting kitty to the responsible kiddo on-site.
