Santa Barbara County firefighters are responding to a structure fire on Tepusquet Road in Santa Maria.
Crews responded to the 3800 block around 11:08 a.m. and discovered a residentual building on fire.
Engine 323 reported an exterior wall of the building was on fire and the two engines on the scene were able to handle it.
Captain Scott Safechuck reports residents were home and smell smoke. Firefighters noted a hot spot in the wall that was hot to the touch and used a thermal imaging camera. The wall was opened using hand tools and the fire was quickly extinguished.
The exact cause is under investigation.
