California Highway Patrol (CHP) has closed SR-166 eastbound this morning due to a traffic collision.
Just before 9:00 a.m. CHP reported a two vehicle crash near Tepusquet Road.
The crash appears to involve a semi-truck and a Ford F150 truck. The semi is hauling vehicles with two cars on it. Although the way CHP is describing the incident it’s unclear if the Ford is hauling vehicles on a trailer and the semi-truck is hauling something different.
CHP states there is a 43-foot car hauler and a 70 foot crude oil tanker.
The crash caused the roadway to be impassible in both directions, but emergency responders were able to clear the westbound lane for traffic.
