SpaceX successfully launched Falcon 9 rocket with Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base on Sunday.

The rocket departed at 9:57 p.m. and deployed 23 Starlink satellites.

This is the ninth flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SDA-0A, SARah-2, and six Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which is stationed in the Pacific Ocean.

A live webcast of this mission began on X @SpaceX about five minutes prior to liftoff and is available to watch below.

  1. Congratulations elon on waking up most of the taxpayers in the county who were asleep at 10:17pm on a Sunday Night.
So billionaires can do whatever they like and no politician for 50 miles has the guts to stand up to a billionaire? Is there a limit, or are we destined for 3am sonic boom launches?
Quid pro quo, every time you wake me up, elon, I’m buying more Fisker stock. That’s the company who makes much better cars than you, according to several automotive Engineers.

  2. So, today’s (02-09-2024 @ 4:34 p.m. PST) launch (“Delayed from 3,5-8”) went off nicely. Got to watch out the back window again. 🙂
They were then talking about the 02-14-2024 IM-1 mission (?), sounded pretty important…
