An inch of snow fell in about 10 minutes on the south side of Campanil Hill. I’ve lived here for 30 years, and this is the craziest weather I have ever seen. There is still a thick layer of slush a half an hour later.

  1. We were one of the 1,000+ cars on East Camino Cielo today. Glorious snow, kids having the best day of their lives, people driving the wrong type of vehicle for the conditions, everyone just enjoying the snowfall. In another 5-10 years it will happen again.
We actually went to see Cachuma. All you could see was the far right gate open on the dam. The Santa Ynez river was flowing good as we made our way to Solvang.
It was a wonderful day to be in nature and seeing people enjoying it!
