Firefighters have contained a small brush fire off Highway 101 northbound in Buellton Thursday.
At 11:38 a.m., crews responded to the area one mile north of Highway 154 and discovered a grass fire moving at a moderate rate of speed.
Due to the high temperatures and dry brush, two air tankers were requested to respond to the area as well as engines and ground crews.
Within the hour, ground crews had made good progress and the air tankers were cancelled and returned to service.
Firefighters will remain on the scene to build containment lines and mop up hot spots.
The cause is under investigation.
