Small Brush Fire Contained in Santa Ynez Valley

At 2:27 p.m., Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the 5600 block of Armour Ranch Road in the Santa Ynez Valley for a reported brush fire. 

The department sent a full vegetation response with aircraft and water tenders that was supported by the Los Padres National Forest. Crews discovered one to two acres of light fuel burning in a field and immediately began a hose lay. They wrapped the fire and knocked it down with help from water drops by a helicopter.

The forward progress was stopped and there were no damaged structures or injuries. 

The cause is under investigation.
