Six Firefighters Graduate from SB City Fire Academy

The City of Santa Barbara Fire Department is proud to announce the graduation of six new firefighters from the academy. Their graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Fire Station 1 at 121 W. Carrillo St. Parking is available in the parking structure on Chapala Street.

The ceremony will honor the dedication, hard work, and exceptional training our firefighters have demonstrated throughout the fire academy. These graduates have undergone rigorous physical and mental training, preparing them to face the challenges and responsibilities of serving and protecting the community.

Fire Chief Chris Mailes will preside over the ceremony, commending the graduates for their unwavering commitment to public safety and their completion of this rigorous academy. The Department takes great pride in providing comprehensive and state-of-the-art training to ensure that firefighters are equipped and trained to handle any emergency with professionalism and efficiency.
