Shooting Arrest in Lompoc

Suspect(s) : 56-year-old David Thomas
 
Summary :
On Sunday 9/19/21 at approximately 12:20 PM, Lompoc Police Officers responded to the 500 block of North T/U Street alley for a report of gunshots heard. Officers located evidence of a shooting but no suspect(s) or victim(s). During the course of the investigation, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 56-year-old David Thomas.
 
On Tuesday 9/21/21 at approximately 2:35 PM, David Thomas was arrested by Detectives during a traffic stop and booked into LPD Jail on the following charges:
• 245(a)(2) PC – Assault with a Firearm on Person
• 29800(a) PC – Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person
• 30305(a) PC – Possession of Ammunition by Prohibited Person
