Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Tests Positive for COVID-19

A patrol deputy assigned to South County Patrol has tested positive for COVID-19. The deputy last worked patrol in the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The deputy began experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms while at home on Sunday, July 5, 2020 and was tested and confirmed COVID-19 positive that same day. The deputy is currently isolating and recovering at home.
