The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has issued a shelter in place order for an Orcutt neighborhood.
At 8:00 pm the Sheriff’s Office sent out the order for the area of Foxenwood Dr and Old Mill Lane. Residents are advised to stay indoors.
The shelter in place order was lifted just before 11:00 p.m. It’s unclear what the order was issued for.
This is a developing story.
What a joke the Sheriffs Dept- Heads should roll
I’m truly angry, I mean really angry. As if we need more reason to distrust government. Some jerk decided to use the EAS with zero detailed info?! Oh, what I want to say…
I locked up my screen door and went online. ZERO info. (Edhat wouldn’t load.) No Nixle, no OES info, no police or sheriff dept. information. I shrugged, This was abuse of the system. Somebody’s head should roll.
It was annoying but I just picked up the phone and called the SO to get the answer. I would not judge the SO for the gaffe.
