Semi-Truck Collides with Los Patos Overcrossing

By John Palminteri of KEYT News

A tractor-truck collided with the Union Pacific railroad overcrossing at Los Patos Way Monday night at 10:22 p.m.

It was exiting Highway 101 Southbound at the time. The truck was stuck against the structure and a heavy-duty tow truck was called out.

The California Highway Patrol blocked the ramp for the cleanup operation which took over two hours. The Santa Barbara City Fire Department was on scene but there were no hazardous conditions or leaking fluids. Train traffic was stopped until the rail crossing was inspected.
