7:19 PM. A “disturbing the peace call” came in, a man banging on the doors and windows of the U-Haul Store on State Street yelling “…Overdose” then leaving that location to another unknown place nearby. Lights and sirens response along with PD, medics, and FD. Hope it was successfully resolved.
8:05 PM, 1123 Anacapa, three unconscious subjects. Likely a possible overdose? Officer is heard…. “On the Santa Barbara St. side of said area.”
8:19 PM, Street light is out on Milpas Street. Vehicles are repeatedly blowing through the stop at an intersection. This is a hazard.
UNRELATED, Why do (adults) bicyclists seem to ALWAYS blow through stop signs, and also merge at their leisure, and E-Bikers. Strangely, don’t use Bike Locks???
Teen E-Biker “ganglies” (LoL, unsupervised “good-kids” on e-bikes, or some, just-summer-acting-up) such as parking in or even on handicap ramps and access sidewalks. IE. McD… Parking…All over Downtown…These, unsupervised children, then complain that they need to park in, or on a civilly-obstructive-pathway to prevent the thefts of their E-Bikes. Come-on, PARENTS, if you feel U may turn your 12 yr-old kiddo loose on a $1300.00+ / 30+ MPH vehicle / UNSUPERVISED / Unlicensed / Uninsured. At least buy a lock and greatly educate them, closely supervise them, and care for these summer-minors-memorable-safe-and-sound-affairs.
Therefore, I unofficially, blabbered a wonderfilled opinion on the issue of unsupervised teens (LOL), please, really avoid the suffering of any Real consequences. From a Concerned Citizen and parent, just noting possible Summer pitfalls and possible solutions. with a bit of a cautioning attitude, yet much love for all. Please, THINK, and Act.
9:32 PM Child became locked in a vehicle, a two and a half year-old child. The keys may have been left inside the car. PD, Medics, and Fire Dept. responding to N. Nopal St. and E. Montecito St. Vehicle system may have auto-locked. Parents, please remember who has the child in their vehicle on any date and time. AND, never leave a child…..
