By Roger the Scanner Guy
LA Times wants me to pay for another subscription, they gave me a good price and they want me to pay more now even though they put the paper on the neighbors front porch, not mine. His front porch faces Milpas street half the time I never see the damn paper. I donated it to whomever decided to take it off the front porch and read it for themselves, maybe the LA Times ought to get them to pay for the new subscription. I’m not going to get suckered into it again. I called in complained, no one answered me so I just figured it was gone, they were not going to answer or bring another paper that money was gone. This morning I saw one of the neighborhood panhandlers walk past me he had an LA Times under his arm no way that guy bought that paper he swiped it somewhere, he might not have taken mine so he got someones. As I made it to the front porch sure enough my LA Times was gone. I says loud, loud enough for him and everyone else to hear “Oh My! My LA Times is Gone! Then added Enjoy that paper you Son of a bitch you’ll never get another friggen dime outta me!” He had the guiltiest look on his face. Two birds with one stoned.
I love the LA Times reminds me of the Chicago Tribune I usually don’t read the whole thing just the local California news, Steve Lopez when I see his column, I skim the front page, Calendar, Farts and Books, check out the coupons see if there is a deal in there I enjoy reading the LA Times but I guess I’ll just have to read it online from now on, or pay acouple bucks at the store for it if I want the News Paper Edition, had the delivery person put the paper on my front porch instead of the neighbors I’m sure I might be reading the paper today since my porch does not face Milpas street. I always enjoyed reading a real newspaper instead of reading from a screen not that reading online is different I’m just an old school fart. I enjoy reading my books that way too though books, newspapers, and magazines are all too expensive anymore unless you can get a deal by subscribing I enjoy magazines too I have a couple Guideposts and Writers and Poets, sometimes you can get a deal from Publishers Clearing House on magazines. I would not mind getting a couple more, the magazines are delivered to a locked mailbox gotta commit a 459 if you want to steal my magazines. Well that’s my MILPAS UNDERPANTS and I’m sticking to them here is your Scanner Reports.
