Checking out my bucket Wednesday it was filled to about 3 and a half inches, THURSday about 4 and a half. All in all a pretty good storm so far giving us the water we need with little storm damage. A couple trees down, some wires, few accidents here and there, people are trying to be careful at least so far. I don’t feel like going out and playing in the rain, if it were snow that would be a lot different. Indianapolis is looking at a foot of snow tomorrow one of my Sisters live in that area I haven’t seen snow for along time. I have been razzing her a bit, ya know Sisters cannot let em off too easy especially when you live far away and they cannot get to you. I really do miss laying in wait for some of the family when it’s snowing though especially when the snow is a little wet and it sticks, a powerful snowball can be a special surprise to an unsuspecting relative. Of all the snowball fights I used to get into I only regret one, the Catholic Priest all us guys in the Boys home were having a snowball fight with a Catholic Priest and I clobbered him with the ice ball knocking him out cold. Everyone ran back into the school but I took off and NEVER went back. He wasn’t hurt too bad, it was kinda scary though the way he was laying in the snow he kinda looked like a snow angel. No more snowball fights were allowed there I ruined it for them. I never went back because I did not like school anyway, course I was a little worried about what the priest might do if I did show up. Catholic Priests are not exactly non-violent, they could swing a drilled out paddle like Babe Ruth could slam a home run back in the day. Those were the days when they was allowed to do those sort of thang’s though there are places that still allow it. There are a lot of people out there that advocate paddling kids and giving them spankings, that seem to think giving a kid a good spanking is the answer to teaching kids respect. I’m not really so sure about that the spankings I got as a kid were called Beatings and that was what they were and the only thing they did for me made me feel like doing worse things which is what I did.
