I hope ya all had a good weekend and a fun Saint Patrick’s Day without any drama. Though drama is good when you have no life as it can mostly only be found on the idiot box. I have been watching my old Clint Eastwood “Dirty Harry” movies lately. I saw a letter to the editor in the LA Times on Sunday from a fellow Santa Barbarian, not one I know but I do agree with on the Death Penalty. He wrote “America needs its Death Penalty.” Commenting on an editorial Article put out by the LA Times on the 16th arguing that “No Government should have the power of life and death over its citizens” though “Capital Punishment does not violate the constitution’s ban over Cruel and Unusual Punishment.” The editorial speaking of the latest method of execution that the State of Oklahoma is considering Death by “Nitrogen Hypoxia.” Which would be pumped into the death chamber putting the killer to death without pain is the plan like other ways that have been used to execute murderers who kill and sometimes torture others though, “Capital Punishment does not violate the constitution’s ban over Cruel and Unusual Punishment.”
The LA Times article also states that “Execution is inhumane, no matter what method states use.” I put their words into quotes as the way they said it is the best way and I don’t want to copy what they wrote but the sentence that hooked me is: “Execution is inhumane, no matter what method states use.” I have to ask are we blind to the fact that murder victims suffer, by the hand of their killers? Murder is inhumane and there would be no reason to execute anyone if it wasn’t committed. Many murder victims are also tortured it seems to me the only ones suffering at all are the victims in my opinion killers who without a doubt are guilty of First degree Homicide should be put to death and if we cannot find a humane enough way then shoot them, it’s quick and more than likely more humane than how they killed their victim, or victims. Some people say the death penalty don’t work. I think it does because a killer who is executed cannot kill again at least not in this life. Many killers get to live out their lives in prison anyway, supported by taxpayers as one appeal after another is tried it really is a big joke. If those who are guilty of first degree Homicide without a shadow of a doubt are put to death soon after their conviction people would think before killing someone and the Homicide rate in the United States would go down though the Death Penalty is not the only solution there are many others which should be used against those who choose to kill others as a their solution.

Very Good Lake Milpas heeheehee…Thanks :)…Thing about Life in Prison FLICKA is that some prisoners operate better in the joint and actually enjoy life there…Their life changes and they accept the living conditions…Many fight the Death Penalty to get life in prison which is just another way of life…I have know a few people who committed homicide in my life they all conform…
Killers are always convicted “without a shadow of a doubt”. However, in recent years, with DNA testing quite a few prisoners on death row have been found innocent and released. One I recently read about was there for 30 years. Killing an innocent man, and I’m sure that has happened, is as heinous as any murder the guilty have committed. To me, the death sentence is an easy way out for the killers, worse to spend life in prison.
