Does anyone if UCSB and/or SBCC will be closed or open today and Wednesday?

SBCC has closed all 3 campuses and has promised all employees they’ll be paid and do not need to use their PTO.
Must be nice to be employed in higher education
Oops: It is nice to be employed by an agency with higher values. Not demanding that employees come into a fire situation or a heavy runoff rain problem or lose their salary for the day is a bit harsh. As it turns out they probably could have appeared but would there be students there? In a cost benefit analysis the choice to shut down the campus while this was sorted out seems fair.
Staff are still working- however, if they were affected by the fire in some way, they were given the flexibility to work with their supervisor for a solution. Sounds reasonable to me.
