On 02/21/18 Santa Maria Police Officers were detailed to the 800 block of West Morrison for a call of a man who was asking for help. Officers responded and discovered an adult male who was bleeding and had suffered a stab wound to the torso. The male was transported to Marian Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Albert Flores Junior, 25 years, a resident of Santa Maria.
SMPD Detectives are actively investigating this homicide. At this time it is unknown if this is gang related.

On 2-21-18, SPMD Officers responded to the 800 block of W. Morrison regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who had sustained multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
