Santa Maria Shooting on Saturday Night

On Saturday night, 12/18/2021 at about 8 PM, Patrol Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Chaparral Street, Santa Maria. Officers located two, 17-year-old male victims with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported by ambulance to Marian Medical Center. A crime scene was established, and Detectives/Crime Scene Investigators responded. The investigation is continuing. The victims’ conditions are not known at this time.

SMPD Detectives are investigating the shooting and are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity before or after the shooting to please contact them at (805) 928-3781 X2277. Additionally, any residences in the area with surveillance systems are asked to check for activations around the time of the shooting.

  1. LUVADUCK – “becoming???” No, we ARE a culture of violence. Look at the praise of vigilantes in the highest ranks of our government. Look at complete, total, and utter lack of any meaningful reform of gun laws. Look at how children being shot in their classrooms is “normal” for us. Look at what is going on and has been going on for years and decades. We ARE as violent and dangerous as most third world countries. America is drowning in blood and half of us don’t care one bit.
