The Santa Maria Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a wanted subject. As a result of an extensive investigation into an armed robbery that occurred in late January 2018 in the northwest area of Santa Maria, SMPD Detectives have obtained a felony arrest warrant for the charge of 211 PC (Robbery) for Miguel Estevan Tovar 9-16-96. Tovar is a resident of Santa Maria, but has also been known to frequent Nipomo and Guadalupe. Tovar is considered armed and dangerous.
You should not approach or attempt to detain him and if he is seen members of the public are urged to call 911 and alert authorities. If you have any information at all, please call the Santa Maria Police Department at 805-928-3781. You can speak to any officer, at any time, day or night.
