Santa Barbara County firefighters have contained a brush fire, named the Foxen Incident, near Santa Maria at 48.2 acres.
At 1:37 p.m. fire crews responded to 1335 E. Betteravia for a reported brush fire that had grown to five acres. Crews on the ground worked with air support to contain the fire that was spreading at a moderate rate.
Approximately three hours later, crews contained the fire at 48.2 acres and will remain on scene until its completely extinguished.
There are no reports of injuries and damaged or threatened structures. An investigation is taking place to determine the cause of the fire.
