Santa Barbara Police K9 Jake Retires

Police K9 “Jake” retired recently after almost six years of service. During a ceremony he received a mayoral proclamation.

Jake and his human partner and handler, Sgt. Chris Payne were responsible for 237 narcotics sniffs, 169 building searches, 71 apprehensions, and 52 area searches.

  1. Good on you, Jake. I am sure that all the people you have helped wish you the best. Am not sure what a Mayoral citation is, but you might want to stay away from it.
