A Santa Barbara skateboarder won his division at the National Amateur Skateboarding Championships last month.
Taylor Brownett won the 7-year-old and under division for Vert (vertical) competition in San Diego.
The event was hosted by the California Amateur Skateboarding League (CASL) which offers competitions for a variety of age groups in three categories: Park, Vert, and Street.
CASL is the same organization that skating legend Tony Hawk started in before becoming a worldwide phenomenon. The group holds one competition per month in Southern California with a State Championship in November. Then in January, the league joins other states for a National Championship in January of the following year.
Brownett said his goal is to qualify for the 2028 Olympics as he trains regularly at the Olympic Training Facility in San Diego alongside members of the US Olympic Team.

I only clicked on the link, because I was curious as to how a baby goat would have won?
