Larry Nimmer created a short film about the Santa Barbara Bucket Brigade, volunteers who help dig mud out of Montecito homes.

John Palminteri reported on this nonprofit earlier, but below is a video that shows the amazing work they’re accomplishing. One volunteer even found out about it through edhat!

  1. Contractors are hiring people to shovel mud. No need to volunteer. Insurance is paying for a lot of this, so is the government. Many of the very wealthy property owners ( 90% are in the top 1%) are paying out of pocket.
