A Toyota truck rolled over on Cabrillo Blvd. Monday night at 7:04 p.m. right in front of busy restaurants with outside seating.
All of the lanes were blocked with police, fire and AMR first responders. A witness said a sedan came out from Anacapa St. and clipped the back of the truck going westbound and that caused the rollover.
No one was seriously hurt.
It’s nuts that they allow people to turn left off Anacapa there. I’ve seen so many near misses with pedestrians in the crosswalk, and the aftermath of one pedestrian vs. vehicle. There’s too much going on there, and too many distracted tourists in the area. Make it right turn only!
