Has anyone investigated the reason why SCE is doing so many blackouts around town and how long this will last? My neighborhood as had about six or seven this year and they tend to last longer than predicted. It would be nice is we had a schedule to we could plan better.

planned power outages are scheduled during the day when most people are at work. There is no way to “schedule” this type of infrastructure work other than a “general” time frame. digging poles out of the ground you run into all sorts of issues that need to be addressed before the new pole gets put in. Remember this is so you can charge your iphone and ipads. If you really hate it, get solar and a battery.
