Risky Drone Seen Downtown

A low flying fast moving drone  buzzed State St. at Haley Saturday night for several minutes.   It was in an area with cars, pedestrians and fixed objects such as signal lights and flags.   At times it was under 10 feet off the ground.   Santa Barbara Police say this was very risky by the unknown user and the aggressive operation could be a violation.

  1. Not funny. Drones have interfered with firefighting planes. They should be considered aircraft, and made subject to FAA regulations. They’re not toys and shouldn’t be used as such.
