Santa Barbara County firefighters knocked down an early morning structure fire on Refugio Road Sunday.
At 4:48 a.m., crews responded with a full structure response to 1100 Refugio Road off Highway 101 in the Gaviota area. They found a residential one-story structure fully involved in fire.
Captain Dave Zaniboni reported the structure was not lived in, but instead an office space on the ranch property. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within an hour.
The structure is a total loss with extensive damage, said Zaniboni. An investigator will determine the cause.
