RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM PDT TUESDAY FOR GUSTY NORTH WINDS, HOT TEMPERATURES, AND VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE SANTA BARBARA SOUTH COAST…
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a Red Flag Warning gusty north winds, hot temperatures, and very low relative humidity, which is in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 9 PM PDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Winds…Areas of northwest to north winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph, strongest across the Santa Ynez range tonight and Monday night.
* Relative Humidity…Minimum relative humidity 7 to 15 percent today, lowering to 4 to 10 percent on Monday. Little or no overnight recovery.
* Temperatures…Max temperatures 90 to 102 degrees today, rising to 94 to 104 degrees on Monday.
* Impacts…If fire ignition occurs, conditions are favorable for very rapid fire spread including long range spotting, and extreme fire behavior which would threaten life an d property.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected. A combination of strong winds…very low relative humidity…hot temperatures, and very dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Please use extreme caution near fire ignition sources.

To the North (Lompoc) and South (Carpentaria), yes, it looks a bit dry and windy.
