The State Street Mile racing event took over downtown Santa Barbara on Sunday morning.
Approximately 1,200 runners, families, and pets from all over the country participated in this annual event that benefits the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Crime Victim Emergency Fund.
A variety of race categories included all types of runners for all age groups, including the family fun mile, amputee mile, masters and elite mile, walk mile, and the former Edhat Dog Molly’s favorite, the Dog Run.
In the Elite Women’s race, Tori Tsolis of San Jose set a State Street Mile record by winning at 4 minutes and 22 seconds. Darius Terry of Santa Barbara won the Elite Men’s race at 3 minutes and 54 seconds.
