  1. If vehicles are forbidden on public beaches then why oh WHY does the City allow lifeguard vehicles (not being used during an emergencies) to drive on the sand? Are the dogcatchers still driving on the sand? ******* I hope the Animal Control officers stopped that obnoxious and dangerous practice of cruising along in their vehicles on East and West Beaches while looking for dogs, leashed or otherwise. ******* Don’t the kayak rental people drive their vehicles on the sand at West Beach? Isn’t that horrible gargantuan “beach grooming” machine considered a “vehicle?” Let’s play fair: Keep ALL vehicles off our beaches, unless the vehicles are needed in an emergency situation.
