Raising Monarch Caterpillars

By KC Kenzel

Curious to know if anyone in Santa Barbara, or particularly Hidden Valley, is having any luck this year raising monarch catepillars. I am aware of the decline in the monarch butterflies as a whole, and of the many predators and disease issues. Even so, with approximately 10 plants I have only been successful with one butterfly to emerge. It has been very disappointing! Is anyone having better luck?
