Source: City of Goleta

The community is invited to attend a field trip hosted by the California State Lands Commission (CSLC) on Tuesday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. The CSLC will visit the Piers 421 Decommissioning Project site located below the coastal bluffs marking the southwestern limit of the Sandpiper Golf Course on Haskell’s Beach.

Participants must travel to the site visit in their own private vehicles. Carpooling and ride sharing is strongly encouraged as parking is very limited. Proper attire, including sturdy, closed-toe footwear, should be worn due to uneven terrain. Because the Piers 421 area is an active work site, all members of the public who wish to attend will need to sign a liability waiver. If you wish to attend, please contact the Commission’s Executive Office at cslc.commissionmeetings@slc.ca.gov or at 916.574.1900 to obtain a copy of the liability waiver. Additional details for the field trip will be available on April 25, 2022, at www.slc.ca.gov.
