Providence School in downtown Santa Barbara was under a brief lockdown due to a reported trespasser on Friday morning.
Around 10:00 a.m., classrooms initiated the protocol after an “unarmed person” was seen on campus at 630 W. Canon Perdido Street.
A faculty member was able to escort the person off the campus and Santa Barbara Police arrived to conduct a search to confirm the campus was clear.
Classrooms were reopened by 11:45 a.m. and all students and staff were reportedly safe during the incident.
This is a developing story.
