What is the rationale for shutting off electricity from 8-6 in the San Remo/San Roque area? I understand that upgrades are necessary, and my neighborhood went through it on a Wednesday. Sunday is a day off, a day for families to visit, for football games, for BBQ’s. Things that can’t be done during the week for a lot of working people. I am sure Edison Co thought this through and have a good reason for a weekend power outage. Does anyone know what it is?
Thank you, OP! I was too lazy to post about it. Not sure if Saturday would’ve been better… And yes, we had a planned outage recently. The points made here are good, but still… They can’t keep up with maintenance on weekdays? How are they paying their employees? I’ll assume they schedule them so that they’re not paying OT. I don’t know. It’s been no burden, but it is affecting me on a weekend day, and I don’t like it.
Somehow people managed to muddle through before homes had electricity.
OK, a plenary comment originally meant for a-1541353610, but the system won’t post there: Inconvenienced in your TV sports viewing? Got any buddies? If so, get together! If not, go to a sports bar.
