There was a large police response to the Habit Burger on Milpas Street in Santa Barbara on yesterday [Saturday] before 4:00 p.m.
Officers came in at full speed with lights and sirens. Does anyone know what happened?

haha
Dudes asking his readers what happened?! 😂 Solid journalism
Hey stupid, it says “by Edhat Reader” … not a reporter.
lanzehta smart, like brick.
Under “How You Can Contribute to edhat,” under the “About” tab, it says:
REPORT BREAKING NEWS – Hear or witness some hot news? Send a breaking news report to ed@edhat.com or use the form on the home page.
**It can be as brief as one sentence or posted as a request for more information. Example: “Seven fire trucks just went by with sirens blaring at Alamar and State. What is up?” We’ll post the report and people who see it on the site will add details.**
@Lanzehta – is this your first time on edhat? It’s a news hybrid that mixes traditional journalism with citizen journalism. Often the citizen journalism is the first report on something happening around town and is updated with details later by SBPD.
Asking a question implies intelligence, not stupidity.
Couldn’t you stop being a rude for at least this holiday… (rhetorical)
“I have decided to stick to love…Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
Since you’re bringing MLK into this, here are some other quotes of his.
“Again we have deluded ourselves into believing the myth that capitalism grew and prospered out of the Protestant ethic of hard work and sacrifices. Capitalism was built on the exploitation of black slaves and continues to thrive on the exploitation of the poor, both black and white, both here and abroad.” —The Three Evils speech, 1967
“White Americans must recognize that justice for black people cannot be achieved without radical changes in the structure of our society.” —Where Do We Go from Here? 1967
“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.” —A Time to Break the Silence: April 4, 1967
“The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and racism. The problems of racial injustice and economic injustice cannot be solved without a radical redistribution of political and economic power”. —King to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) board on March 30, 1967.
There a whole lot of folks of ALL races who would disagree that capitalism is evil.
That’s fine, but MLK believed capitalism is evil. Those who decide to cherry pick quotes from him should educate themselves on everything he stood for and not a nice sound bite.
Damn, Captain Obvious always there to sink a three pointer. Amazing analysis Cap’n!
This discussion seems to be the current actively commented- To keep it relevent, I will say I miss the old Habit Owners… NOW- Today is a day to remember the great Dr. Martin Luther King, yet EDHAT has NOTHING mentioned. I feel Dr. King is one of the most important figures in our lifetime. Unfortunately, there are many among us who wish to make race a important issue in our workplaces and society at large- We, as a Nation have come farther than that- The WOKE ideology embraces division and differences- I would guess Dr. King would be appalled. I leave you with this quote from MLK…”
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
“Unfortunately, there are many among us who wish to make race a important issue in our workplaces and society at large” – Read that back to yourself, out loud, Coast.
Really? You really find it “unfortunate” that people are concerned about racism, past and current, in our society and in workplaces? Your words.
Would hope that someone can tell us what happened on this “share the news” site.
Likely nothing major since there hasn’t been an update or statement from the police dept. If you want to speculate it could have been a medical call, or an unruly customer, or a sale on burgers for law enforcement.
