Does anyone know what happened to Pendulum Faire Clock Shop on Patterson Ave? Did he move or retire?
The man is/was an absolute genius at his craft. Not sure where to take my Grandfather’s antique pocket watch now. Any suggestions?
I can only guess that a clock shop is somewhat arcane and less-needed in the age of Amazon and disposable goods. As for your other query: Google “watch repair near me”. I’ve had good experiences with Bayside Watch adjacent to La Cumbre Plaza.
We also have been quite pleased with Bayside.
I am glad to know someone else is shocked as I am to see Pendulum Faire empty. I spoke with the property manager to learn that Roman Wernio, the clock magician, returned to his homeland of Poland to care for ailing family members. I was told he would like to return, but when is uncertain. For those who do not understand clocks, we who have grandfather clocks, mantle clocks and other types of clocks that need winding and have gears, cogs and springs, they need maintenance and repair by someone well taught in the art of clock repair. Roman is such a person — an old-world, classically trained clock repair person. I do not know anyone in town with his skills. I look forward to his return someday.
KROMOFSKY – Thank you. I was hoping against hope that he had simply changed lo locations.
For them…time ran out!
The owner retired and moved to somewhere more affordable
