Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Highway 101 Near Orcutt

A pedestrian sustained critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 101 near Orcutt early Friday.

At 12:56 a.m., Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBCFD) crews responded to Highway 101 northbound, just south of Clark Ave. 

A male was reportedly hit by a Ford F-150 in the number one lane and sustained critical injuries. The victim was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to SBCFD Public Information Officer Mike Eliason.

The driver of the truck was not injured. California Highway Patrol is investigating.
