My vehicle is large and I tend to drive it somewhat slowly and cautiously, particularly in the downtown area. The other day I had the green light and was turning right on the green, no pedestrian at the curb, when a young guy semi- jogged up to the curb and suddenly jumped out into the crosswalk right in front of my vehicle. He didn’t look first to see if any driver was about to turn right. He’s damn lucky I have good brakes and that I was watching for just such a thing to happen. One good encounter with my front bumper, even at a speed of only 10-12 mph would have sent him flying. Beware of such careless pedestrians.
