On Thursday, March 12, 2020, at approximately 8:46 P.M., deputies responded to the 5700-block of Calle Real on a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The pedestrian was seriously injured and transported to the hospital where she is expected to recover. It appears that the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when she was hit.
The driver of the vehicle, a full-size Chevrolet truck, was cooperative. He admitted to consuming some alcohol and was evaluated at the scene. It was determined he was not under the influence and was well under the legal limit for blood alcohol content. He was released from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
It beats me why anyone would drink even one drink and believe his/her driving is not in any way impaired.
Then you SHOULD read the post. It says it appears she was in the X-walk.
