Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Santa Maria

Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Santa Maria Friday afternoon.

At 3:52 p.m., crews arrived at Highway 101 northbound, south of Santa Maria Way with Santa Maria Firefighters, a ground ambulance, and air support helicopter.

A man in his 30s sustained major trauma and was transported by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center.

The incident is under investigation.
