Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Santa Maria Traffic Collision

On Friday, March 16, 2024 at 9:25pm a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 800 block of North Broadway.

The pedestrian was transported to Marian Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The identity of the pedestrian is currently unknown.

SMPD officers responded to the scene. N. Broadway between Alvin and McElhaney [was] closed while SMPD Trafic Unit investigated this crash. North Broadway [was] cleared by 3:00am.
