  1. So sad.

Probably a suicide. Or suggest using ‘pedestrian’ for j-walkers hit by a car. Walking on RR tracks is not normal. And unlawful. Tresspassing.

Or who cannot hear a train?

So need a new word for these train track travelers. ie trackwalker? Tresspasser.

So need a cow catcher on front of trains. To bump objects
    out of the way, softly.

    • My wife died November 16 2018 by SURFLINER AMTRAK right near where Olive Mill Road turns into Eucalyptus in Montecito. That was one of the toughest days of my life when it was confirmed it was her by her brothers ID in the coroner’s office…..very sad indeed this female in Goleta. I’m not so sure on suicide though as she had her pet. Never know. Have a blessed Christmas and New Years.

  2. Unfortunately there haven’t been any updates, and the name of the female victim hasn’t been released. If the rumor I heard today is true, and this is my beloved friend, then this definitely was not a suicide. I can only assume that maybe she was walking near the tracks and her dog ran on the tracks and she ran after to save him. If it’s who I’ve heard it to be, she loved that dog more than life itself. The decision to walk close to the tracks may have been a bad one that afternoon, but who hasn’t made a bad decision in their lifetime? Let’s not judge now.. if it’s MY FRIEND… I can almost GUARANTEE 💯 she was on those tracks to save her dog.. there’s no other explanation. It’s a terrible terrible thing to happen, for everyone involved. Please understand my comments only apply if this is my friend and her dog…
