Passenger Removed from Southwest Flight?

By an edhat reader

Evidently a woman was escorted by police off of a Southwest Airlines flight Friday morning at the Santa Barbara Airport.

All other passengers and their luggage had to deplane as well. Does anyone have more information?

    • Don’t be so sure that the removed passenger deserved it. Many years ago, I was in my seat for a flight from LAX to SBA. An airline employee came on board and asked me to deplane, which I did. Another person got on board and took my seat. Turns out, that passenger was higher in the airline’s passenger status categories. Later, the airline acknowledged their error and gave me a $100 credit on my next flight, which I never was able to use before it expired.
