Pacific Pride hosted their third annual celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) Pride at Chase Palm Park.
Here are all of my photos and videos from the Pacific Pride Festival!
I was not able to eat solid food as I was still recovering from my recent surgery. But my wife enjoyed the “Flip Side Filipino Fusion” from Ventura which was back again this year. It took a half-hour to get the food, though!
A number of businesses were out with their staff at tables to show their support. Here was the Sonos table:
UGG had this booth with rainbow balloons and a PRIDE sign. Many were posing for photos there
KEYT weather forecaster Alan Rose was one of the Emcees for the event:
There were people of all ages, but colorfully dressed young people definitely dominated the scene.
We only stayed for a couple of hours as I did not have much stamina. But we got to enjoy the Burlesque performances which were definitely a highlight!
Here are few of my video clips of the Burlesque performances. Be warned: The dancing is PG rated, but some of the music lyrics not so much. There were a lot of children there in this public park and the Emcee had to “explain” this to the children.
It was a pleasure seeing so many different kinds of people hanging out in the park and having a good time!
We came down on the bus from Goleta. One amusing bit I noticed when we were back at the Transit Center waiting for the bus home: A Santa Barbara fire truck parked across the street with the legend Pride Protection and Prevention. How appropriate for the occasion!
Thanks, Robert, for your explanation, photos, and videos of this event. This is one area where we have made a great deal of progress over the years. People can proudly display their personal feelings without being condemned for them. I think the UGG booth was absolutely beautiful.

Thank you FLICKA for the kind words. Yes this indeed is an area of progress. It is all about seeing each other as fellow humans with feelings just like we have.
