California Highway Patrol Officer Julie Jensen and her partner Edy are on patrol locally and Jensen is the only female CHP K-9 officer in the state.
Jensen and Edy, a Belgian Malinois, have been on several high-profile stops involving drugs, weapons and joint operations on the recent search for Montecito home invasion suspects, and a Goleta bank robber.
Jensen grew up as a Santa Ynez High 4-H student and went on to UC Santa Barbara before embarking on what is now a 24-year career with the CHP.
