Traffic Collision 101 N-bnd Gaviota Rest stop. County AMR and Copter.
IC is calling it 101 at Hwy 1. Initial copter call was CSTAR7 but switched to Co. Fire Copter 3 due weather.
Vehicle into Oak tree, cancel both copters. AMR to Cottage with victims.
Oh darn! Hope everyone is OK! That’s the 2nd accident in just a few days in that short, curvy stretch between Gaviota and the 1 junction…..
A ground ambulance? County Fire information officer, who’s tweet is the source of this information can’t bring himself to recognize AMR.
Yes, ground ambulance, it’s in the posts right here that they had an LZ getting set up for Calstar 7 and switched to County Copter 3 only to switch to ground ambulance rather than copter due to weather and patients’ injury severity. I was monitoring the call when it was accurately given.
3rd right there in a week???
