These rusty rigs are a good metaphor for dirty energy. You see the dilapidated condition of all the oil infrastructure along our coast if you take the train. Look at the mess up at Gaviota that they are cleaning up now. I can remember how Chevron came in up there and snowed everyone with all the jobs and tax money they would big if they were allowed to build up there. And now they are gone, leaving a big mess which they are forced to clean up. At least Chevron has the $ to do the clean up. Greka, ERG, etc. don’t have the deep pockets so their mess will remain for the taxpayers to clean up.
