Oil Pump Fire in Orcutt

Santa Barbara County firefighters extinguished an injection station pump fire in Orcutt Monday morning.

At 10:27 a.m., fire crews responded to a report of a vegetation fire on E. Clark and Dominion Road in Orcutt. When crews arrived in the 3200 block of Dominion Road on the Greka Oil Station property, they found an injection station pump fully involved in flames causing a lot of smoke, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

The above ground pump is used to treat water and oil and was fully extinguished by fire crews.

There was no other damage to other facilities or properties and an investigator is on scene determining the cause of the fire.
