Numerous Injuries in Highway 101 Collision

At least six people were injured in a vehicle collision on Highway 101 in Goleta on Friday afternoon.

Three passenger vehicles and one semi-tractor trailer were involved in a collision in the northbound lanes near the Fairview Ave exit. 

At 4:46 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene with three ground ambulances and California Highway Patrol. All traffic lanes were blocked due to the collision.

County Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni reported one person suffered major injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Two others were taken to Cottage Hospital in Goleta with minor injuries while three other occupants refused transportation to the hospital. 

California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of this collision.
